AMERICAN LAUNCH OF A SEVENTH QUARRY PRESS BOOK
SPECTRUM, a debut collection of flash fiction, by American author William Colson was launched at River House Books, Carmel, California, on 6th June.
It was a lovely event and the response to those who attended and bought the book was great. The book is available from the website Shop.
Nikos Frangakis, Film Maker:
Bill's stories continue to fascinate me. He's a superb writer. His writing is ingeniously economic. Yes, I find Bill's stories rich with human beings living their diverse lives.
ISSUE THIRTY-NINE (Winter/Spring, 2024)
of
THE SEVENTH QUARRY
SWANSEA'S INTERNATIONAL POETRY MAGAZINE has been published.

NEW FROM THE SEVENTH QUARRY PRESS
A book of poems by Welsh poet K. S. Moore
(Available in the Shop)
K.S. Moore’s debut collection puts me in mind of Christina Rossetti, if Rossetti were a contemporary Welsh/Irish poet. Her work is lyrical, intricate, concerned with fairy tales and landscapes both familiar and fantastic. This book is joyful, clever, unsettling at times, and heartfelt.——Emily Blewitt (Poetry Editor, ‘New Welsh Review’ & author of ‘This Is Not A Rescue’, Seren)

THE FATHOMLESS TIDES OF THE HEART
CAROLYN MARY KLEEFELD, POET AND ARTIST
a biography by Peter Thabit Jones
“It is no small matter to write the development of a poet, artist, and thinker of Carolyn Mary Kleefeld’s stature, yet Peter Thabit Jones’s biography rises to the challenge, offering insight not only into her voice and vision, but into the dynamics of creativity itself – its tensions, complexities, mysteries.” —Arthur Williamson, PhD. Author of Apocalypse Then: Prophecy and the Making of the Modern World.
Carolyn and Peter at the Henry Miller Library, Big Sur, California, for the American launch of the biography, which was hosted by the Library's Executive Director Magnus Toren (May, 2023)

A CANCER NOTEBOOK/Poems by Peter Thabit Jones
Foreword by Patricia Holt.
In “A Cancer Notebook,” Peter expresses, viscerally, purely, his emotions and thoughts while he is living with the reality of cancer. Being a poet, he does so in a way which can be integrated into another being directly, shattering the isolation, and giving each person a better understanding and acceptance of what they are going through--a precious step toward healing, emotionally and physically. This is the profound gift of Peter’s book.
The poems are such a totality, each word adding to the whole, building within themselves to an integrated power and poignancy. “Women’s Ward” and “Words” are two such poems, among many others.
From the Foreword by Patricia Holt.
